The fifth edition of the optical metrology conference devoted to cultural heritage methods, also third edition of O3A, is focused on advanced optical methodologies for the study, documentation, safeguard, preservation and conservation of cultural heritage. The symposium will be an ideal place for exchanging ideas and discussing best practices for the optical analysis of artworks.
The aim of TECHNART 2011 is to provide a scientific forum to present and promote the use of analytical spectroscopy techniques in the field of cultural heritage. The conference builds on the momentum of TECHNART 2009 offering an outstanding and unique opportunity for exchanging knowledge on leading edge developments.
A few months ago the last of the documents of the National Heritage Science Strategy of the United Kingdom was published. This initative, recommended by the House of Lords, is an effort to develop a bottom-up strategy to articulate the field of heritage science.
