Mikolaj Stanek

Mikolaj Stanek holds a bachelor degree in Sociology from the Nicolaus Copernicus University of Torun (Poland) and a doctoral degree in Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid. He worked as a researcher at the Complutense University of Madrid and Spanish National Scientific Research Council. He was also a lecturer at the University of Valladolid. Currently he is a postdoctoral researcher at CES University of Coimbra with the FCT funded project "Comparative study on the segregation and concentration of immigrant populations in European labour markets during economic crisis". He is also an associated researcher at the Institute of Economy, Geography and Demography of the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (Spain) and an expert for LINET (Independent Network of Labour Migration and Integration Experts - International Organization for Migration) and FRANET (Multidisciplinary research network at the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights). His current research interests include the immigrants' labour market integration, and international mobility patterns of post-communist populations.
