Our research team consists of senior faculty, post-doctoral researchers and graduate students with a shared interest in intersections between knowledge production and power in the Islamic west, both in the past and in the present. Most members are affiliated with the Institute of Languages and Cultures of the Mediterranean and the Near East (ILC), based at the Centre for Humanities and Social Sciences in Madrid (CCHS-CSIC) and they also belong to the interdisciplinary Research Group Cultural History of the Mediterranean and the Consortium Med-his.
